Illinois and Iowa family caregivers who care for aging relatives and friends will have an opportunity to talk with exhibitors and hear speakers at the 7th Annual Quad City Regional Family Caregivers Conference from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 4 at the Waterfront Convention Center, 2021 State St., Bettendorf.
Keynote speakers are Dr. Cheryl True, MD, and Jon Turnquist, MOL, OTR/L, ATP, St. Ambrose Professor, will speak at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. respectfully. Presentation titles are “I don’t have time to take of myself, do I?” and “There’s no place like home: adaptations to enhance safety and independence”. Both topics will be of interest to individuals and families who are in the caregiver role, or will be in the future.
Caregivers will learn about services and programs from over 50 exhibits of local providers and organizations who serve both the Illinois and Iowa region. Light refreshments and door prizes.
