Fly Iowa – Clinton

In partnership with the Iowa Aviation Promotion Group, the Clinton Municipal Airport and the Clinton Convention & Visitors Bureau will be hosting Fly Iowa 2016, Clinton, on September 24, 2016.

The Iowa Aviation Promotion Group is a non-profit organization whose mission is to grow aviation by increasing the number of pilots, aviation users, and aviation supporters within the state.  Each year, they coordinate the event to showcase a local Iowa airport and provide a positive experience for attendees and educate the public, especially youth, about aviation.

Fly Iowa 2016, Clinton, will provide a free “Aviation State Fair and Air Show” experience to the public.

This year’s theme is celebrating our aerospace history by promoting astronauts who have a connection to Clinton County.  Any surplus funds from the event will go toward a permanent exhibit in the community that will celebrate Clinton County’s astronauts and our Space County USA designation.
