The First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Mt Carroll is proud to present Gone Fishin’, an ecumenical music group, at our annual Timber Lake Resort service. They play not for profit but in order to share their love of praising God in song. Their music includes gospel, old-time, hymns, and traditional, all with a bluegrass flair . A free will offering will be taken; donations are used to support the instrumental and musical needs of the group. Gone Fishin’ members consider it an honor to be given the opportunity to play at area church worship services. They are excited about being invited to perform for the TLR crowd.
Coffee Fellowship will be served by members and friends of First Lutheran following the service. Come and join us for our outdoor worship service followed by delicious home-made treats and coffee in a beautiful wooded setting overlooking Timber Lake. Timber Lake Resort is located just north of Timberlake Road on Black Oak Road 3 1/5 miles southeast of Mt. Carroll, Illinois. The location for the event is handicapped accessible.
