Writing Series Focuses on Life Story-Thomson Library

Do you have treasured memories from your past you would like to record?  Have you written down the special moments of your life to share with your family?  The University of Illinois Extension is pleased to offer the “Share Your Life Story” writing series on Fridays, beginning on February 24 at 10 a.m. in Thomson.  This writing series for all abilities will explore how to get started in sharing your life story and will include writing sessions and activities.  Previous writing experience is not required.

University of Illinois Extension offers programs create learning partnerships that put knowledge to work and aim to make life better, healthier, safer, and more profitable for individuals and their communities.  Recording your life story, treasured memories, and special moments leaves a legacy for generations to come.

“Share Your Life Story:  A Writing Series” will be held on Fridays at 10 a.m. beginning on Friday, February 24 through Friday, April 7 at the Thomson Public Library, 1005 West Main Street in Thomson.  Please note there is no writing class on March 24.  This writing series is free and open to the public.  Pre-register for the series at the library by calling 815-259-2480.  For more information, contact Karla Belzer at 815-632-3611 or by email at kbelzer@illinois.edu
