Clinton area weather observer Jim Blaess says the overall temperature averaged about 64 degrees (63.9). That’s a little more than one degree above the historical average (62.5).
The highest temperature during the month was 84 pm the 7th and 16th. Blaess says the lowest reading was 36 on May 1st.

Blaess reported precipitation for the month was about 5.4 (5.39) inches and that’s about and inch and a half above normal (3.94).
The weather observer said that was the most rain in May since 2004 when there was about 7.5 (55) inches.
Blaess says there were a couple of big rainfall totals in the month. He says there was about one-point-six (1.59) inches in storm on the 5th and about one-point-3 (1.27) inches on the 26th.

For June, Blaess says, you can expect 4.6 inches of precipitation and four days with 90 or above temperatures. He says the average high for June 1st is 78 and average low is 56 and by the end of the month those are 85 and 64.
