One person killed in one car crash in Whiteside County

On August 16, 2015, at approximately 1:15 PM, Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office along with Fulton Fire, Fulton EMS, and Fulton Police responded to a single vehicle rollover crash with serious injuries that occurred on Holly Road near the intersection of Elston Road, rural Fulton. ‘Read more’ for the complete statement from the Sheriff’s Office The vehicle, according to witnesses, was traveling westbound on Holly Road at a high rate of speed when the driver, Branden L. Riddle, age 23 of Prophetstown, lost control of the vehicle causing it to roll several times before the vehicle landed upright in a residential yard. Branden had to be extricated from the vehicle before he was transported to Mercy Hospital in Clinton, Iowa, where he was later pronounced deceased. Front seat passenger, Skyler M. Russell, age 22 and rear seat passenger Katy S. Burger, age 32 both of Prophetstown, were transported to Mercy Hospital where they were treated for their injuries.

Fulton Police, Fulton Fire, Albany Fire, Fulton EMS, Illinois State Police, Clinton County (Iowa) Medical Examiner’s Office, and Midwest Collision assisted the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office.
