Public Meetings about city’s water shut off plan

The City of Clinton will be holding four meetings about the implementation of the water shut-off agreement
with Iowa American Water Company. ‘Read more for dates, times and more information

The purpose of the meetings is to inform customers of the shut-off procedures. Customers can also inquire about the status of their sewer account with the City of Clinton, but no payments will be accepted at the meetings.

The meetings are scheduled for the following dates, times, and locations:
• Tuesday, September 1st, 5:00 P.M. City Hall, First Floor Conference Room
• Thursday, September 3rd, 4:00 P.M. Jefferson Elementary Library Conference Room
• Tuesday, September 8th, 4:00 P.M. Lyons Library
• Thursday, September 10th, 1:00 P.M. Ericksen Center

Under the water shut-off agreement, customers of Iowa American Water Company can have their water
turned off for delinquent sewer bills with the City of Clinton. Following these meetings, the City will begin the
program on Monday, September 14th and send out the first shut-off notices.
