Clinton School busses involved in accidents

Two Clinton School busses were involved in accidents on Monday.  Superintendent Deb Olson says there were no injuries to anyone in either of the accidents.

The first accident happened shortly before one o’clock near the corner of 16th St. NW and the Millcreek Parkway where a car hit the back fender of the bus. No students were on the bus.

The second accident happened shortly before three o’clock on 5th Avenue South near 6th Street South where a car hit the back  of the bus. There were three children on this bus. The children were evaluated by EMTs and then released.

Olson noted that the drivers of our buses were not at fault or charged in either accident. This accident caused some of our routes to run late.

The Superintendent praised everyone involved for their response.  Olson credited the job the  drivers, monitors, and transportation staff did in light of these accidents.  She said  children that were on the bus were troopers and listened to everyone that was there to help them. She went to state the  police and fire departments were on the scene within minutes helping our staff and children and the other people involved in the accident.
