How much rain overnight!

We now have more than the average September rainfall total.  ‘Read more’ for the details.
Clinton area weather observer Jim Blaess says the overnight rain was 2.32 inches and most of that total fell between about 1:15 to 2:15 A-M.
He says there was another .46 of an inch  that fell during the day on Thursday that ended by 3 o’clock in the afternoon.

The weather observer says the month’s total is            4.76 inches which is above the monthly average of 2.95 inches.
The total precipitation for the year to date is 34.31inches which Blaess says is more than six inches  above the average total for the first ninth months which is 27.87 inches
Blaess added that the total precipitation to today is also above the yearly average of 34.25 inches with more than three months to go in the year.
