How dry has it been?

It’s been over 30 days since any significant rain in the Clinton area. ‘Read more’ for the local details
Area official weather observer Jim Blaess says on September 17th and 18th there was a2.32 inches of rain in a 24 hour period. Since that time Blaess says there has been .16 of an inch of rain and that was on September 29th. He says there hasn’t been any rain in October.
He says that makes 32 days – as of Tuesday (10/20/15) – without significant rain.

Despite the dry period, Blaess says the area is still ahead of normal for precipitation for the month. He says there’s been just over 35 inches of precipitation so far this year and that’s nearly five inches above normal for the first ten months of about 30.3 inches.
