After no rain for the first 20 days we almost have the monthly average in the last few days

The rain from mid-day Tuesday through this morning totaled 1.32 inches according to official weather observer Jim Blaess.
He says after no rain in the first 20 days of October there’s been 2.24 inches of rain since then.  The rain on October 20th did break a streak of 32 days with no significant rain and the last measurable rain had been in late September.
Blaess says total so far this month is about two-tenths of an inch below the October average of 2.44 inches.

The Clinton weather observer says the rain this month now brings the year to date total to 37.25 inches which is about seven inches above the ten month average (30.31 inches).
