Governmental meetings this week

County Board, School Board, City Council & DeWitt School Board on the tentative list of meetings- ‘read more’ & links to agendas are included.

The Clinton County Board meets in their Monday morning business session.
The Supervisors will start at 8:30 with a canvas of the votes from the municipal elections. The votes from Clinton and DeWitt were reviewed on Thursday because they are run-off cities and that may involve a runoff.
The business session will start at 9:15.
The Supervisors will consider a contract for the Administration Building retaining wall project. That project was started to stabilize the hillside at the building site and expand the parking lot. The unexpected discovery of human remains from a pioneer cemetery delayed the projected and involved a redesign.

The Clinton School Board meets on Monday in a business session.
Among the presentations will be one from the Clinton Middle School students speaking about how they are creating pride in their school.

The meeting is at 5:30 at the Administration Building on Monday.

The Clinton City Council meets on Tuesday evening for a business session and a committee of the whole session.
The council will consider formal action to hire a broker to help market the rialport industrial park. An initial approval was vetoed by Mayor Mark Vulich. Further negotiations continued in conjunction with the Development Corporation to revise the proposed contract.
During the committee of the whole session the council will hear an update about the idea of forming a Public Safety Authority to help promote a proposed new law center including a jail and communications center.
The meeting will start at 7 P-M Tuesday at City Hall.

The Central DeWitt School Board will be meeting on Wednesday at the High School Media Center.
Among the items under consideration will be purchasing video cameras for vehicles used to transport students. Also the board will consider the process to change the name of the district name on vehicles and buildings. The District is changing from Central Clinton County to the Central DeWitt School District.
