Three candidates will be on the ballot.
Clinton County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Eric Van Lancker says the Absentee ballots may be cast in the Clinton County Auditor’s Office at the Clinton County Administration Building, 1900 N. 3rd St., Clinton, IA, during regular office hours through December 14, 2015. You can also request a ballot in writing. Those forms are available at the Clinton County website.

The Camanche special election is December 15th.

A council member’s recent resignation created the vacancy-but it could not be filled at the regular election in November.

Two council members were elected at the regular election. The Council then had a tie vote on a move to fill the vacancy.
In the special election Paul Willis, Junior is seeking the seat on the ballot plus Jay Saxon who was also on the ballot in November plus Danny Weller is also on the ballot for the special election.

Current Mayor Mark Vulich received the most votes while challenger Jennifer Graf was second and those two are on the ballot for the special election on December 1st.

The polling locations for the Clinton City Election included the First United Methodist Church in the First Ward – in the Second Ward the voting site is the Calvary Baptist Church – in the 3rd Ward the voting location is the Ericksen Center and the 4th Ward it’s at the Church of the Open Door.
Polls on Tuesday will be open from 7 A-M to 8 P-M.
