Not as bad as last winter

It may have been cold in recent days-but official Clinton area weather observer says it’s still warmer than last year at this time. ‘Read more’ for further details.
Jim Blaess says thru January 14th last winter season there had been eight days with zero or below temperatures while this year there have been no days with zero temps. He says it did drop to one degree above zero on the January 10th.

Blaess says last year in November thru January 14th 2015 there was 12 inches of snow. This winter-November 2015 thru today-there has been just under eleven inches of snow. Blaess says most of this winter’s snow was the seven inch 24 hour snowfall on November 20th and 21st.
Blaess says the normal during the period is 15 inches of snow.
