Julie Allessee Named Interim President & CEO of the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce

The Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce announced today that its former President & CEO, Julie Allesee, will be returning in the interim period following the resignation of Nathan Sondgeroth to accept a new position in the private sector.

FY 15-16 Chamber Board Chair Nate Krienbrink said: The Executive Committee is so pleased that Julie has agreed to fill the role of Chamber President & CEO on an interim, part-time basis over the coming months until a full-time person is found. Having an individual with Julie’s credibility and the respect in the community is extremely important during this transition process.

Krienbrink added “The Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce is over 140 years old and has always served as a vital institution in our community. The Chamber’s unique role to help its members and the area in general will continue as it always has.”

Currently the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce has over 535 members and is based in the historic Armstrong Building located in Clinton, Iowa. The Chamber serves members primarily located in Clinton and Camanche, Iowa and Fulton, Illinois.

Sondgeroth said “The Chamber and community is in great hands with Julie coming back during this transition period. It speaks volumes about her dedication to our member and the entire Clinton Area that she will be willing to provide day to day management while the next President & CEO is hired.

Sondgeroth’s last day will be Friday January 22, 2016.

Allesee said “I am happy to return to the Chamber during the interim period continuing the programs and events that Nathan and the staff have put in place for the upcoming months.”
