Clinton Community College Students Visit Grassley in Washington, D.C.

Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa on Thursday met with students from Clinton Community College in Clinton County during their visit to Washington, D.C. – Read more for details and photo.

“I really enjoy meeting with young Iowans and encouraging their interest in learning more about how our government works.  Citizen involvement is essential to democracy in America, and young people are the key to the strength of our democracy in the future,” Grassley said.

The students spoke with Grassley about a variety of issues and current events.

Grassley makes it a priority to meet with Iowans visiting Washington, D.C., in addition to events in Iowa, including his annual meetings in each of the 99 counties.  While in the nation’s capital, Grassley sets aside two hours each day to meet with Iowans.  He encourages Iowans to write him or visit one of his offices regarding questions or concerns they have with their federal government.
