‘Holiday Mail for Heroes’ card writing event in Clinton

Iowa Congressman Dave Loebsack will be making a stop in Clinton today for his “Holiday Mail For Heroes” card writing effort.

The Congressman will be at the HyVee store to write Holiday Cards to troops serving overseas.  Card will be provided at the event for anyone who wants to stop and help.

The cards are distributed through the Red Cross program.

This is the second year Loebsack has teamed with HyVee to provide cards through the program.

The event will be 2 to 3 o’clock this afternoon at the store at 901 South 4th Street.

A staff member from Congressman Loebsack’s Office will be holding community meetings in the area on Tuesday.  The representative will be at the sessions to work with people who are having trouble with a government agency or who have suggestions or comments for the Congressman.

The sessions will be in DeWitt from 9 to 10 A-M at the Community Center and then from 11 to noon at the Clinton City Hall with a stop in Eldridge from 2 to 3 pm Tuesday at the City Hall
