CCDA Fund A Grants Awarded

The Clinton County Development Association has announced the awardees for the Fund A Grants.  Total grants awarded is $500,000.00. ‘Read more’ to find out more about the grants funded by some of the proceeds of the local Wild Rose Casino.

 

Clinton County Agricultural Society:  $250,000.00 for the Swine Building Project

Clinton Fine Arts Associaton:  $75,000 for the Vernon Cook Theatre Project

Downtown Clinton Alliance:  $75,000 for Downtown Upgrades

Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace Catholic Church:  $40,000 for New Hall Addition – Prince of Peace Catholic Church

Midwest Lumber Museum dba Sawmill Museum:  $60,000 for Exhibits

The CCDA rules describe the types of projects available for Fund A grants.

5. Fund A.   Funds allocated to Fund A may be awarded, subject to matching funds requirement, to qualified organizations for projects over $150,000. Funds shall be awarded with the goal of accomplishing economic, civic or community development within Clinton County, Iowa, to improve the area economy, and to create and retain employment opportunities. Any organizations, which are awarded funds from Fund A, shall be required to obtain, from sources other than CCDA, funds for the organization’s specific project equal to 50% of the total project cost. In determining whether an organization meets this matching funds requirement, in-kind contributions of labor or land toward the specific project shall not qualify toward the 50%. In-kind material contributions will qualify.
