Tentative schedule of governmental meetings this week

The County Board and Clinton City Council have meetings this week-

The Clinton County Board has their regular Monday morning business meeting.  The will start the business meeting at 9:15 at the County Administration Building.

The Clinton City Council meets in a business session and committee of the whole session Tuesday.

The council will consider formal approval of an agreement for the purchase of a new computer system for all law enforcement and emergency services agencies.

During the Committee Of The Whole meeting the Clinton Convention and Visitors Bureau will ask the city for 30-thousand dollars – or half the cost of a new campaign to promote the positive aspects of the community.

The council will also discuss ideas for new ways to address nuisances in the community.

The council will meet at 7 o’clock Tuesday evening at city hall.

Also from Clinton City Hall-

The three lighthouses along the Clinton riverfront are being repainted.

With a grant from the Clinton County Development Association the City as able to hire Moehr Painting to repaint the lighthouses along the riverfront in the Riverfront Park area.

The lighthouses were built in 1935 as project of the WPA (Works Progress Administration) and have provided a unique feature of the area.
