At the Committee Of The Whole the council agreed to fund 30-thousand dollars of the proposed marketing efforts.   The Chamber will lead the effort to raise another 30-thousand dollars.

Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Carrie Donaire says the effort will include cable T-V, radio, newspaper, billboard and on-line marketing efforts.

City Administrator Jessica Kinser said a Chamber survey and a city survey support efforts to try to change negative attitudes.

Donaire says the effort will reach across many areas of the community.

Donaire says the citizens ownership of the idea is a key.
