The council will also hear from City Engineer Jason Craft about seeking state funding to help make changes at some of the intersections along the Mill Creek Expressway he believes would improve safety.

Craft is suggesting ‘roundabouts’ at 13th Avenue North and Mill Creek Parkway and 16th Street Northwest and the Parkway plus another roundabout at the Parkway and 2nd Avenue South.  He is also proposing the re-alignment of Thorwaldsen Place-7th Avenue South and South Bluff.

The City Engineer seeks the approval to seek the state funds.  No local match is required if the project cost is under 500-thousand dollars.
