Tentative Schedule Of Governmental Meetings This Week

The Clinton County Board, Clinton School Board, Clinton City Council and DeWitt School Board highlight the tentative schedule.

The Clinton County Board has their regular Monday morning business session.

Among the items is an update on the financing for the new law center and jail project.

The meeting starts at 9:15 at the County Administration Building.

The Clinton School Board will be meeting this evening (Monday) in a regular session.

The business meeting will start at 5:30 at the School’s Administrative Center.

The board will take action to formally accept several donations.   The Clinton National Bank is donating $5,000 for a new scoreboard at the Yourd Gym.  C-H-S Graduate David Johnson now playing in the N-F-L is donating $5,000 and the Clinton Lumberkings are also donating $5,000 with both for the Athletic Department plus the Clinton High School Class of 1986 is donating $250 to the CHS Activities department.

The Clinton City Council meets on Tuesday.

At the meeting the council will be asked for formally approve an application for DOT funding to install roundabouts at three intersections along the Mill Creek Parkway.  The council will also be asked to authorize the temporary change over of Third Street from 17th Avenue North to 25th Avenue North from a four lane street to lanes with the middle lane a left turn lane.

During the Committee Of The Whole Session the council will hear a report on options for the use of alternative energy sources, such as wind and solar, at the Water Reclamation Plant.

The issue of using the extended 19th Avenue North to the Parkway as a truck route will be discussed.

Also on the agenda for consideration is a request for proposal to develop and parks area master plan and an ordinance allowing chickens in certain urban areas.

The Central DeWitt School Board meets on Wednesday in a regular session.  The School Board has a work session at 5 pm.  The Business meeting will start at 6 P-M at the Middle School Media Center.
