Tentative schedule of governmental meetings this week

The Clinton, Camanche and Fulton City Council will be meeting this week. (links to the agendas included)

The Clinton City Council has their first Tuesday of the month Committee Of The Whole session.

During the session the county will propose that the city grant a variance so a sidewalk will not have to be rebuilt on 6th Avenue North when the new law center and jail is built.  The county will also seek permission to use the city parking lots near Ashford Field for parking for the courthouse during the construction.  City staff supports both proposals.

The council will also hear from the Downtown Alliance about bike lanes on 5th Avenue South.  The council will also consider moving forward with zoning regulations to allow chickens in certain urban areas and how to address vacant and abandoned buildings.

The meeting will start at 7 o’clock this evening

The Camamche City Council will be meeting tonight (Tuesday) in a business session.

Among the issues for discussion is the sale of old City Hall and the disposal of items from Garner Hall.

The meeting is at 6 o’clock at the city hall.

The Fulton, Illinois City Council will meet  tonight (Tuesday) at 5:30 at City Hall.

Among the items on the agenda is an update from the Chamber Of Commerce on their finances the search for a new director.
