Work on Main Ave & 3rd Street could impact your driving

Be prepared for some traffic issues around the north end of town.

Clinton City Engineer Jason Craft says the resurfacing of Main Avenue, from Mill Creek Parkway to North 3rd Street, will begin on Tuesday, September 6.  After milling, the contractor will perform full depth patching of any failed concrete road base, and that will be followed up by asphalt resurfacing.  He says they anticipate this work to be complete by Friday, September 16, weather permitting.

During the work there will be one lane of Main Avenue open, and flaggers will be directing traffic.

There will also be another project getting started that will block North Third Street.

The 1800 and 1900 blocks of North 3rd Street will be closed starting Tuesday, September 6 as part of the 19th Avenue North project.

Craft anticipates this work will take approximately 2 months, and should be complete by late October – weather permitting.
