Water problems at apartment complex not the result of broken main, but internal fozen lines

An Iowa American Water Company official tells K-R-O-S NEWS that issues with water service at the Miller Ridge Apartments in recent days was an internal problem in the complex and not an Iowa American issue or broken main.

The spokesman says that apparently some of the units are empty and some of the service lines to those apartments froze and that impact service to apartments above and in the area of the units with the frozen lines.

The water company spokesman said they would have been happy to assist, but could not find contact information for maintenance or the complex owners.

This situation, the Iowa American Water Company spokesman said was an example of the importance of keeping heat on and making sure water lines do not become frozen.
