Clinton Police investigate Sunday robbery report & Clinton Fire crews called to multi family complex on Saturday

Clinton Police are investigating what is reported as a robbery at the Shell Express business at 500 North Second Street.

Police were called to the business about ten o’clock Sunday morning at the robbery reports.

Officers met with store employees who said that an unknown male entered the store and demanded money.

The suspect fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash and merchandise.

The suspect is described as wearing dark colored clothing.

Damage was reported to one unit in a multi-family complex fire on Saturday afternoon.

The Fire Department was dispatched to 850 First Avenue at 1 PM on Saturday.

Fire crews found fire in an attic and had it under control in a short period of time.

The fire was contained to a small area over one 2nd floor apartment.

One tenant was forced out of their residence and the Red Cross provided aid.

No injuries were reported and nothing suspicious was found.  The fire remains under investigation.
