Meetings this week

Just a few meetings of government bodies on the tentative schedule-but check out the schedule here-

Monday is the regular meeting day for the Clinton County Board.  The supervisors start at 9 A-M to review the correspondence and claims.  At 9:15 the business portion of the meeting will start.  Among the items on the agenda is report on the space needs assessment and preliminary planning for a new Clinton County jail.  It’s part of the local Justice Coordinating Commission efforts.  That presentation is at 10 A-M.

Monday evening the Clinton School Board meets in a business session.  At 5 o’clock the board will hear about financial planning for short term borrowing for the district for the new middle school project.

There will be a public hearing on filing for a waiver to start school earlier than specified by state code.

The board will be asked to approve the budget for the next year with a tax levy of 16-dollars and 71 cents per thousand dollars taxable value.

The Camanche City Council meets on Tuesday.  The meeting will be 6 P-M at city hall.
