Check out a couple announcements about road work that may impact your travel around town
In conjunction with work on the Mississippi River Trail (MRT), the eastbound lane of the 200 block of 8th Avenue South (located on the south side of the bridge) will be closed to all traffic beginning Friday, May 9. This road will be closed for approximately 2 weeks. Traffic will be detoured via 7th Avenue South during this time.
Also, the eastbound lane of South 3rd Street, from the intersection of South 4th Street and 11th Avenue South, to the bridge will be closed to all traffic beginning Friday, May 9 for work on the MRT. This lane will be closed for approximately 1 month. The west lane of South 3rd Street will remain open.

This is to inform you that South 30th Street, from Harts Mill Road to Mill Creek Parkway, will be closed to all through traffic beginning today, Wednesday, May 7. This will allow for bridge construction work. This closure will last approximately 1 week.
