CCDA awards area organizations grants

The Clinton County Development Association has awarded grants to several area large projects. The $500,000 in grants were awarded in the Fund A process.

Funds allocated to Fund A may be awarded, subject to matching funds requirement, to qualified organizations for projects over $150,000.00. Funds allocated to Fund A shall be awarded with the goal of accomplishing economic, civic or community development within Clinton County, Iowa, to improve the area economy, and to create and retain employment opportunities. The organization must also have at least 50-percent of the project cost from other sources.

In the grants announced this week –
Central Clinton Community School District: received $120,000.00 for the Facilities Enhancement Project
City of Clinton was awarded $100,000.00 for the Lyons Business & Technology Park Roadway Extension (19th Ave NW) Project
Northeast Community School District was awarded $100,000.00 for the Innovative Stem Classrooms and Physical Fitness Center Project
Paul B. Sharar Foundation for Clinton Community College was awarded $80,000.00 for the Clinton Community College Library Enhancement Project
City of Clinton Fire Department received $70,000.00 for the Clinton Fire Department Ambulance Replacement Project
DeWitt Area Veteran’s Memorial project got $30,000.00 for the DeWitt Area Veterans Memorial Monument Project.
