A 17 year old male fell 80 feet over the bluff at Eagle Point Park yesterday afternoon.

The Clinton Fire Department was called about 5:30 n the report of the person falling over the bluff.  The victim was located along the railroad tracks by the spillway.

He was stabilized by firefighter/paramedics and removed from the area with the assistance of the Clinton Police Department’s A-T-V and a special cart used by the fire department that uses the railroad tracks.
The Med-Force helicopter landed at the scene and transported the victim to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

Emergency crews were on the scene for nearly two hours.
The fire department responded with 2 engines, a rescue vehicle, two ambulances and 12 firefighters.
