Iowa Workforce Development Report shows declines in the jobless rate

Unemployment rates locally dropped from June to July.


The Iowa Workforce Development agency reported that in Clinton County the unemployment rate dropped from 5.2 percent in June to     5.1  percent in July.

A year ago, in July, the unemployment rate was 5.3 percent.

In the city of Clinton the unemployment rate also dropped. The rate in June was 5.5 percent and July it was 5.4 percent.
