Meetings this week

Here is the schedule of governmental meetings with agendas that are available at this time

The Clinton County Board has their regular Monday morning business meeting at 9:15 at the County Administration Building.  At 9:30 the board will consider approving changes in the agreement with the city of Clinton over what the county will receive from the proceeds of sale of land at the railport.

 

 

The Clinton City Council’s City Services Committee meets Monday afternoon.  The committee will consider an RFP for the city website, a list of properties to be demolished, a study of the public works department and other topics at the meeting at 3 p-m at city hall.

 

 

 

The Clinton School Board meets today in a committee of the whole session.  That meeting will be at 5:30 at the school’s Administrative Center.

The board will review the construction progress on the new middle school project.  The board will also review the 2013 staff climate survey.

 

 

Tonight is also the Northeast School Board meeting date.  The session will be at 6 o’clock at the Middle School-High School Library.

It will include the re-organizational meeting of the board following the recent school board election.

Among the items on the agenda for the new board will be reviewing the recent court decision that the Easton Valley does not have to honor the whole grade sharing agreement the East Central District signed with Northeast after East Central and Preston districts merged to form easton valley.

The board will also review the idea of a ‘balanced calendar’ for the school year.

 

 

The Riverbend School Board will hold a budget hearing tonight at 6:30 at the district office in Fulton.

The Riverbend Board’s Grounds and Facility Committee will be meeting on Wednesday this week at   9 A-M at the district office.

 

 

Tuesday will be the meeting day for the Clinton City Council.  The regular meeting will be at 7 o’clock Tuesday evening. The council will consider adopting the Vision and Mission Statements developed thru discussions and community input.  The council could also approve the next step in a plan to renovate the Riverfront Park bandshell.

During the Committee Of The Whole session the council is scheduled to discuss the options to provide water service to the Railport Industrial Park, proposed changes in the medical plan coverage for non-bargaining unit employees and review strategic planning discussions.
