Blaess added that there was 42 and a half inches of snow and that compares to the normal of about 24 during the period.

In the month of March 2014 there was a record low when it dropped to 15-below zero on March 3rd. The previous low in the month of March was 14 below set in 1960 on the 5th and 6th that year.
Blaess said March 2014 was also the 5th driest March on record.

June’s about 8 and a third inches of rain was the 9th highest total since 1978. But, the weather observer said it was only the 13th June since 1891 with no days with 90 or above temperatures and the normal is four days.
