Clinton Community College enrollment report & CCC gains top workplace recognition

Enrollment at Clinton Community College is ‘stable’ this fall.

On the school’s official enrollment count day there were one-thousand*769 students enrolled and that is four students more than last year on the official count day.

There were 464 students in the career and technical program and 1,309 in the 2 year associate of arts degree program.

C-C-C President Karen Vickers says they are excited to work with the students.  She said the school has been working with some new processes for the new students to insure they are prepared for their classes and graduating from Clinton Community College.  Vickers added that while the number of students has remained constant they are seeing a higher retention rate which should lead students to their goals.

Overall the Eastern Iowa Community College showed an increase in enrollment at their Clinton, Muscatine and Scott County campuses of about 2 and a half percent.

In other news about Clinton Community College-The Des Moines Register, on Sunday, published the list of top 100 workplaces in Iowa and for the second year in a row C-C-C was honored in the top small companies.

While some companies with offices in Clinton were named among the top 100 there were no other Clinton based businesses honored.
