How much snow over the weekend-check this weather story for details

While the first half of January was cold and snowy but overall the month ended about normal for the overall temperature with more snow the usual.
Clinton area official weather observer Jim Blaess says in the first two weeks of January there were 7 days with zero or below temperatures and normal for the entire month is five days.
But, he says the overall temperature averaged at 22.8 degrees compared to the normal of 22.4.

Snowfall in January was 12.6 inches and that’s a little more than 3 inches above normal of 9.4 inches/

February started with a big snow storm. Clinton area weather observer Jim Blaess says the snow total from Saturday evening to Sunday evening was 11.3 inches. The snow total a little over one-and-a tenth of an inch of precipitation.
The weather observer says with the blowing and drifting of the snow it’s difficult to get a measurement.

He says that’s the first double digit 24 hour snowfall total since January 1st and 2nd of 1999 when there was 13 and a half inches.

The weather observer says the total is the third highest 24 hour snowfall in a February since 1893.
The higher totals are 12 inches in a 24 hour period of February 5th 1911 and 13 inches on February 20th 1898.

For the snow season which started in October the total through today is 27-point-6 inches and the average total for October through the end of February is 26-point-9 inches.
