Tentative schedule of meetings this week for governmental bodies.

The Clinton City Council meets twice this week-‘Read more’ to check out the tentative schedule of meetings.  Corrected time for Thursday afternoon Council work session

The Fulton City Council meets on Monday-April 6th in a regular business meeting. The city will receive a couple of donations at the meeting. The Fulton Kiwanis is donating 18-hundred dollars for the purchase of a climbing structure at the new Third Ward Park. The Fulton Garden Fund is giving the city 350-dollars for flowers and beautification at the Drives Building.
The council will consider endorsing the Clinton Regional Development Corporation’s new funding initiative.
The meeting is 5:30 Monday at the Fulton City Hall.

The Clinton County Board meets in a regular session on Tuesday morning. The Supervisors will meet at 9:15 at the County Administration Building.

The Clinton City Council meets in a Committee Of The Whole Session on Tuesday evening. The council will consider increases in the building permit fees and rental inspection fees.
The council will also consider a plan to allocate the expected increase in road use tax funding coming to the city due the increase in the gas tax. The city plan expects about 500-thousand dollars in increased funding. A proposal to add three employees to the street department, increase some street maintenance efforts, start a set-aside account for equipment are the major recommendations.
A proposal for an increasing in the garbage collection rates will also be discussed.

The Camanche City Council meets Tuesday in a regular session. The session will be a 6 P-M at City Hall.

There’s a special session of the Camanche School Board on Wednesday. There will be a public hearing on the budget for the next year. The board will consider approval of a chorus –and drama trip to New York in April of 2016.
The meeting is a 6:30 at the Administrative Center.

The Northeast School Board meets on Wednesday. Approval of the budget and tax rate will be considered.

Wednesday is also the meeting date for the Central School Board in DeWitt. The session is at 6 o’clock at the Middle School Media Center.

The Clinton Plan Commission meets Wednesday afternoon at 4 o’clock at city hall.

The Clinton City Council meets in a special work session on Thursday afternoon. The council will review a study of the Clinton Police Department. The 52 page report details the results of an in-depth study of the department. Various aspects of staffing patterns, equipment, technology and other aspects were studied.
The report recommends five additional people for investigations, two forensics officers, a records clerk and 14 additional patrol offices. The report acknowledges the additional personnel is most likely impossible for the city to manage in a given year, but the city is encouraged to do the best they can in the short term and plan for the long term.

The Clinton County Solid Waste Agency meets on Thursday evening.
