Kathy will present “Gardens: A Place for Escape” on Monday, June 10. Ever wonder why we plant flowers and shrubs next to our houses, but not next to castles? This program traces the transformation of the English residential landscape from medieval herb gardens to the untamed cottage gardens of the early 20th Century. This will be a fascinating journey for anyone who appreciates a beautiful garden.
This presentation is hosted by the Volunteer Millers and is scheduled for Monday, June 10 at 6:00 p.m. The program takes place at the Windmill Cultural Center, at 111 – 10th Avenue, in downtown Fulton, Illinois (across the street from the windmill). Monthly programming is available and partially funded by grants from the DS Flikkema Foundation through F.A.C.E.
The program is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served following the presentation. The facility is accessible to persons with disabilities. For more information, call 563-249-6115.
