A suspect has been issued a citation in the vandalism reported at the Springdale Cemetery over the past couple of weeks.
The property managers for the cemetery reported headstones damaged, destroyed or tipped over with damage estimated at over 10-thousand dollars.
The Clinton Police Department investigated multiple reports of vandalism and that investigation resulted in a surveillance video of a suspect damaging a headstone in the Springdale Cemetery. That video was released to the media earlier this week and police say that video aided in the identification of the suspect.
Police reported 17 year old Steven Dickens of Clinton has been issued a citation for Criminal Mischief in the First Degree in connection to the case.
