Local Memorial Day observances are planned for ten o’clock this morning.
The Clinton event will be held at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Those attending the event are asked to bring their own lawn chairs. It will be moved to the Lemke Funeral Home chapel in case of rain.
There will also be a ceremony at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Camanche at 10 A-M. You are also reminded to bring lawn chair for seating. It would be moved to the Camanche High School gym in the case of rain.
With the Memorial Day Holiday today governmental operations will be closed at the local, state and national level.
From Clinton City Hall – Due the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 25th, solid waste/recycling collection will be delayed the last week of May. There will be NO solid waste/recycling collection on Monday, May 25th.
Solid waste/recycling collection will be as follows:
Monday’s route will be collected on Tuesday;
Tuesday’s route will be collected on Wednesday;
Wednesday’s route will be collected on Thursday;
Thursday’s route will be collected on Friday and
Friday’s route will be collected on Saturday, May 30th.
