The normal precipitation for June is 4.6 inches.

Blaess says the rainfall for the year through Monday is  20.22 inches and that compares to the normal for the entire first six months of 16.91 inches.

Last year in June there was 8.34 inches of rain and Blaess said that was the first back to back June’s with over 8 inches of rain since 1881(8.18) and 1882 (8.97).

Last year’s June  total rain of 8.34 inches is the 9th most rain in June and this year might make it into the top ten.
