Tentative schedule of governmental meetings this week

The Fulton, Clinton & Camanche City Councils have meetings this week-links included to detailed agendas

The Clinton County Board has their regular Monday morning meeting today. Among the items for consideration is a letter of support to encourage the D-O-T to proceed with an environmental study for improvements of Highway 30 between Lisbon and DeWitt.
There are some changes to the BOS meeting schedule this month. After the meeting on Monday the next BOS meeting after that is July 16 at the County Fair. The next meeting after that is July 27. There is not a meeting scheduled for the week of July 20.

The Fulton City Council meets on Monday evening. The council will consider zoning changes that would allow a development of multi-family senior housing at property on 16th Avenue.
The meeting is at 5:30 at the Fulton City Hall.

Tuesday night is the Committee Of The Whole Session for the Clinton City Council.
The council will consider a recommendation to make changes in the zoning rules that would allow multi-family housing in a commercial zone. That update is needed for a proposed multi-family development in the area across the street from the casino between the car dealership and medical clinic area. Another topic is a proposal to deal with recurrent nuisance properties and an update on a proposed borrowing for the fiscal year.

There will also be a closed session to review the work performance of the city’s legal counsel-the Lynch, Dallas law firm.

The COW meeting is at 7 P-M at city hall.

The Camanche City Council meets Tuesday night in a regular session.

The Central DeWitt School Board meets on Wednesday. The board will consider contracts with Administrators and others not covered by a collective bargaining agreement plus contracts with secretaries, associates, nutrition department and bus drivers.
The meeting will be at 6 P-M at the Middle School Media Center. There will be a 5:30 closed session on negotiations.

The Clinton County Area Solid Waste Agency meets on Thursday.

The Iowa Mississippi River Parkway Commission (MRPC) will meet Tuesday, July 7, at the Le Claire Community Library, 323 Wisconsin St., in Le Claire.
The MRPC is a multi-state organization that works collectively to preserve, promote, and enhance the scenic, historic, and recreational resources of the Mississippi River; to foster the economic growth of the corridor; and to develop the national, scenic, and historic parkway known as the Great River Road. There are two representatives from each of the ten counties in Iowa bordering the Mississippi – including Clinton County/
As part of the MRPC, the Iowa MRPC focuses on the same mission objectives in relation to Iowa’s portions of the National Scenic Byway, the Iowa Great River Road, and the Mississippi River Valley.
