The highest reading was 93 degrees on the 17th with 4 days at or above 90, the normal is 6 days. The lowest temperature of the month was 54 on the 2nd. The precipitation for the month was 3.03 inches just below the average of 3.60 inches. The precipitation for the year to date is 34.34 inches above the normal of 20.51 inches. In August we can expect 4.41 inches of precipitation with 4 days of 90 degrees or above. The temperatures in August drop from an average high of 84 and low of 64 on the 1st to an average high of 81 and low of 60 on the 31st. Blaess added that in August the sunrise and sunset times go from 5:56 am and 8:20 pm on the 1st to a sunrise at 6:27 am and sunset at 7:37 pm on the 31st.
