The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement on the search for two missing missing children who were located-read the statement here-
On October 24, 2013 shortly before 2:30 P.M., Clinton County Communications received a call regarding two missing boys, ages 2 and 4. This occurred at their parent’s residence located in the 4300 block of 180th Street, rural Clinton. Fortunately, Clinton County Emergency Management was conducting a Wide Area Ground Search training class at Eagle Point Park in Clinton. Deputies attending the class from Clinton and Jones Counties responded immediately. Additional deputies and a K-9 were quickly on the scene.
An Incident Command Post was established at Eagle Point Lodge. Deputies on the scene reported standing corn fields and a heavily wooded area near the residence. The mother of the missing boys reported that they went outside to play. When she checked on them a short time later they were unable to be found.

Communications utilized “A Child is Missing”, based out of Florida, to make automated calls to neighboring residences to notify them of the two missing boys.
At 4:11 PM the two boys were located approximately ½ mile north of the residence. The search was then terminated.
