33 year old Paul P. Giuliani has been appointed as a police officer with the city of Clinton. Giuliani, of Low Moor, will begin his law enforcement career with the Clinton police department on Monday, January 4TH. After a 40 hour orientation at the police department, Giuliani will attend the 14 week Iowa Law Enforcement Academy’s basic training school in Johnston.
Upon completion of his training at the academy, Giuliani will train several weeks with the field training unit at the Clinton police department before being assigned solo patrol. Giuliani previously served as a reserve deputy sheriff and corrections officer with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.
Corporal Pat Cullen has been promoted to Sergeant effective Monday (January 4). Cullen will be assigned as a patrol shift supervisor. Cullen has been with the Clinton police department for 25 years having served the last 20 years as a school resource officer at Clinton High School.
Sergeant Steven Kopp has been promoted to Captain effective January 4th. Kopp will take command of the services division within the police department. Kopp began his career with the Clinton Police Department in 1990 and previously served as a shift patrol supervisor.
