County Board and City Council among the highlights of meetings this week. ‘Read more’ for headlines and links to agendas.
The Clinton County Board has their regular Monday morning business meeting. At the session the board will hear from the Clinton County Justice Coordinating Commission about a request for a bond referendum for a new Clinton County Jail-Sheriff’s Office-Communications Center
The business portion of the meeting starts at 9:15 at the County Administration Building.
The County Board will also be meeting on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in budget sessions.

The Clinton City Council will start their budget review session on Monday afternoon.
The first session will cover the sewer and solid waste funds.
In the budget review documents, no increase in sewer rates are proposed.
In the solid waste fund, the council will be asked to continue five year deficit reduction plan with an increase in solid waste pickup rates.
The proposal is for a an increase from the current $19.65 percent month to $20.33 on July first 2016.

The Clinton School Board meets in a business session today (Monday) at 5:30.
The board will hear from the Facilities Task Force on the group’s recommended list of projects to consider when funds are available.

Tuesday will be regular meeting of the Clinton City Council.
The council will consider action on the School Resource Officer program. Some council member have discussed discontinuing the program with the Clinton Schools.
The council will also consider a resolution to advertise for applicants for the At-Large seat vacancy.
Three people have already submitted their names for consideration to fill out a vacancy on the city council.
That vacancy was created by the resignation of At-Large Council member Grant Wilke.
Former council member Jennifer Graf, who was unsuccessful in a run for mayor in the last election submitted her name for consideration. Former Council Member Charlie Mulholland also submitted his name. Judy Luett who ran for the 4th Ward Council Seat in the last election also wants to be considered.
Gary Heath initially expressed interest in the seat but later withdrew from consideration.
During the committee of the Whole session the council will hear about some ideas to increase some various fees and charges from the Clinton Police Department.
Among those changes would be an increase in the administrative fee for towed vehicles and increased charges to obtain reports.
