The Clinton City Council has a regular meeting and a discussion on Tuesday evening.
Among the business items is the resolution to appoint Creighton Regenwether as the Streets and Solid Waste Superintendent. At a special meeting last week the vote to name the retired firefighter to the post was to 1 with four council member present. It was clarified that it takes four votes to pass such a measure-no matter how many council members were attending-so the motion did not pass at time.
Also on the agenda Tuesday are interview with four people who are interested in filling a vacancy on the council. Brian Tugana, Judy Luett, Sean Connell and Ricky Hey submitted their interest to fill out the remaining two years of the term left vacant with the resignation of Grant Wilke. After the interviews the council will consider appointing one them to the council.
Three others, Jennifer Graf, Charlie Mulholland and Gary Heath submitted letters of interest but later withdrew.
The council meeting will start at 7 P-M on Tuesday at city hall.
