The Clinton area received a hail storm this morning. Clinton Area Weather Jim Blaess said it was considered ‘quarter size hail’ and it came down for about ten minutes. ‘Read more to learn about the worst hail storm to hit Clinton.
Blaess said the worst hailstorm to hit Clinton was April 22nd 1970 when there was golf ball size hail that was three inches deep on the ground.
The Clinton Area Weather Observer says that since 6 P-M Wednesday thru this morning’s storm the precipitation total was just under nine-tenths of an inch. ( .88 )
