The Fulton City Council meets Monday in a business session.
Among the items for consideration is approval of using about 49-thousand dollars from the city’s general fund reserve to repay the Fulton Revolving Loan Fund.
The funds were used to clean up the old J-T Cullen property and for a sewer extension across Route 84 for the Fulton Fire District. The work was done in 2006 and 2007.
Now the city has been told that since the city did not receive prior written approval following state guidelines the funds must be repaid. Failure to repay the funds could put future state grants for infrastructure projects in jeopardy.
