The Clinton School Board meets today at 5:30 at the school’s Administrative Center.

The board will consider action on a couple of actions to formally finish a bond refunding plan approved at an earlier meeting.  The move will save the district funding over the next several years.

The Board will also consider an agreement with the Mercy Medical Center, Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services and others  to work more opportunities for persons with disabilities.

Tuesday will be the meeting day for the Clinton City Council.

During the business session the council will consider formal approval of a plan to help fund a ‘Celebrate Clinton’ marketing campaign with the Clinton Chamber of Commerce.

During the Committee Of The Whole session the council will hear a regular update from the Clinton Regional Development Corporation.

The council will also hear about a plan to replace the ‘ramp’ for disability access to the trolley.  The replacement would cost about 28-thousand dollars.  A few weeks ago the council voted to put the trolley back in use on a Saturday only route to service the riverfront-marina area.  The M-T-A vehicle had been in storage for a couple of years after changes in federal rules made it difficult of the city to operate the vehicle.
