The Clinton County Board members chose Shawn Hamerlinck as the chair for 2017 at their first meeting of the year.
Newly elected member Tom Determan was then chosen as the vice-chair. That was the traditional rotation followed by the County Board for many years/
Determann had been serving on the Clinton City Council when he was elected to the County Board in November. He had not made his intentions clear on resigning from the council or on that time line.
Clinton Mayor Mark Vulich – late Monday night – forwarded Determann’s resignation email to the council, the staff and the media. In that brief resignation, Determann wrote that it would be effective December 31st 2016.
The Supervisors then considered their appointments to the various boards and agencies.
